Alfredo
Italian pasta in a white cheese sauce
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 1/2 cups grated parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 pound cooked fettuccine noodles
Directions
Melt the butter over low heat. Add the cream and nutmeg, and whisk to combine. Bring to a simmer, and cook for 2 minutes. Remove from the heat. Whisk in the parmesan until smooth. Toss with the pasta and serve.
